La Vie Parisienne 2007
'When Lake George Opera premiered La Vie Parisienne, it was a daring choice in some ways, [but] this opera still has something to say to modern audiences. Almost the entire cast was from Lake George Opera's Apprentice and Studio Artists programs, two training programs which help young singers gain practical experience in performing. The young voices were fresh, open, and effortlessly produced. La Vie Parisienne is not an immortal masterpiece. But the company's bet paid off – we need a dose of this carefree, light-as-a-feather music every now and then.'
- James Hennerty of the Times Union
'Lake George Opera introduced a slightly rewritten version of Jacques Offenbach's operetta La Vie Parisienne featuring its enormously talented and likable 2007 apprentice and studio artists. If these young singers are the future of opera in this country, then we are blessed with years of unparalleled performances to come. LGO's energetic young performers kicked their way through two separate incarnations of the raucous dance for this production, and the LGO Orchestra handled the score well.'
- Judith White of The Saratogian
